This is a link post Golden Postbox Locator I made this!
Sooooo as you all know, each hometown of every Olympic gold medalist has got a postbox that's been painted gold. But where is your nearest golden postbox I hear you ask? Well, wonder no more as I have developed a page that will tell you!

Excuse the Straight-Outta-1998 design. And it only works over wi-fi.

It gets the user's location based on their IP address, so there's bound to be some mistakes! ;)

Where do you get the postbox locations from?

This is a normal post The hardcore way.
I had to go to the Royal Mail's gold postbox site - www.goldpostboxes.com - and then had to type the street names into Google Maps one by one to get the coordinates for each one to enter into a database!

How easy would it be to have a 'Search for location' field? Sorry...I know nothing about these things.

Probably quite easy! To be honest I made the page as a small project while I learn PHP/MySQL, but I'm sure I could implement one relatively easily if I tried! ;)
