I doubt they'd come as far as Spain, France perhaps. Saw Gong so many times in the past (and Hawkwind for that matter) Once stood next to Mr Allen at a urinal just before the gig and it was rather wierd as he's rather tall and grinny and put me off my peeing :D

I've met him a few times too, albeit not peeing - there are only a few made like him.
Looks like Albi in France is as far south as they're heading on this voyage - worth the trip, they are still utterly sublime..

And Gong were at that time considered "the dogs bollocks" by the acid heads..even Amon Dull II did not rate that highly but "Can" with "Soon Over Babaluma" were lurking on the sidelines to take the title from them after Allen left.
