This is a link post I always thought private number plates were for knobs

This is a normal post my neighbors
Have two cars "J15 NY" and "J15 NYW". Clearly they mean something, but what???

A colleague, Cathy, also has "C88 TH". She maintains it's personalised, I maintain it's not, and she's just a mug.

This is a normal post You're both right
It is personalised, but not to what she thinks it is.

The Worthing taxi rank usually has a minicab parked in there with the reg. T4XEY. I've never been able to decide whether this is a known misspelling or if the driver is simply living up to the cabbie stereotype.

This is a normal post Any talk of private number plates always reminds me of this "top tip" from VIZ mag.
"Save money on expensive personalised car number plates by simply
changing your name to match your existing plate."
