Hopefully this'll provide a vaguely entertaining account of the madness behind why I get up at 7am to running 10 miles quite casually, and maybe the odd shock pic if I get bleeding nipples from the next marathon.

You're doing a marathon but know you're gonna have to stop halfway and it will take a week to recover.

Good luck with them though! If you have a blog knocking around, please post it so I can make notes as well!

Wish you the best.
My Dad's a runner so I have 2nd hand experience of the crap you;re going to go through. (lots of minor injury's just as you reach your peak)
Here's a good athletics site: www.athletics-weekly.com/
One of my neighbours is in that small and dwindeling group of nutters that have managed to run every single London Marathon. Quite impressive.

Does this mean that Virgin have announced who has and hasn't got in for the London Marathon? This is my second year I've applied, I hope I get in!
I'm currently running 3 miles 4 times a week, then slowly increasing my distance over the next few months. I want to be running two 10 mile runs a week by the end of the year.
It sounds like you enjoy your running a lot, have you ever done the Grizzly Run?

I hope you get in as well! It's a great experience, and by the sounds of it, you'll be nicely in shape for next April. Nothing like four solid hours of hot sweaty activity eh?

That was up and down hills, on pebbled beaches and through a really sticky bog. I'm hoping for a similar time for the marathon, though running flat straight streets is going to be tough.
Good luck yourself, you have been added to my b3ta bloggers blog roll thing.
