I smoked cigarettes for seven years,
then decided one day to give them up. That was five years ago and I haven't touched one since. It was very, very easy.
One of those years I spent the summer in bed with bronchitis, but never mind that.

but 17 years. Just stopped. Youre right. Twas easy. I have no sympathy for anyone who moans about stopping. Its a myth.

It is not easy, not for most people anyway. Everyone I know who wanted to quit tried and failed several times. Hopefully one day it clicks and you manage it and somehow it seems easy, but lets not forget all the times your average person fails before making it. If it was easy there would be far less smokers I think.
