Accidental animal cruelty
I once invented a brilliant game - I'd sit at the top of the stairs and throw cat biscuits to the bottom. My cat would eat them, then I'd shake the box, and he would run up the stairs for more biscuits. Then - of course - I'd throw a biscuit back down to the bottom. I kept this going for about half an hour, amused at my little game, and all was fine until the cat vomited. I felt absolutely dreadful.
Have you accidentally been cruel to an animal?
This question has been revived from way, way, way back on the b3ta messageboard when it was all fields round here.

crane flies
are these daddy long legs?
i HATE them. with a passion.
however, i did feel disgustedly sorry when one flew into my lamp the other night (it's december. why hadn't it already frozen to death? bloody global warming) and sizzled to a long, slow, barbequey death.

...
I remember sitting on the balcony of a floodlit building one evening during the summer. The smell of roast insects as they hit the bulb was intense. And the sizzle was audible.

They are indeed daddy long legs, and I believe they start off life as leatherjackets*. You should try some liquid nitrogen on them, as in my previous post.
That'll show them what dying of cold means.
*not leather jackets, which of course start off life as cows.
