I brake for animalsSome years ago my driving instructor had a shitfit at me for doing an emergency stop (I was doing about 60) on a deserted, straight country road, where there was no one behind me for miles, to avoid a pheasant. He couldn't understand why I wasn't going to kill it just for the sake of "making progress".
