It took me by surprise.I just wanted to see what the deer would do. When she put her nose against mine and then licked my face I was more than a little startled, but it gave me the giggles so I gave her the cracker.
I might add here that a deer's fur is nowhere near as soft as a horse's fur. It's very coarse.
