my mum had that opher doc said she needed a bare minimum of 9 days' rest. as she has 4 kids, she didn't listen and started getting up and about after 6 days, the day after they let her come home(too soon, i'm sure). because of this, she ended up nearly rupturing herself and was forced to rest for 3 weeks. please, tell your missus this. a few more days' rest now will mean less time off in the long run.
