I'd say its legal status makes things tricky.
If it were legal I'd say go for it -- as long as you're sensible and don't smoke all the time it's unlikely to have any negative effects.
However, the fact it's illegal means you have to deal with drug dealers (see what I did there) and means that you can't carry a nice little supply around without the possibility of a police officer smelling it and doing a stop-and-search.
I think the trick to not "whiting out" is to smoke slowly and stop before you start to feel it properly kick-in as it takes a short while to take effect during which period you may have inhaled quite a bit more if you're not careful. It's a bit like drinking in that way -- if you stop drinking when you feel pissed you'll likely become more drunk in the next hour or so as more alcohol finds its way into your blood.

I get a cab to the docs every week, there'n'back, and normally they send out the same guy.
Last time he was talking about "Going the the sauna, getting jiggy jiggy, £40, you're a young man...." etc, so I think he can get me some. Apparently the stuff I want is "Hash". I remember as a teen making a joint and smoking it out my window when I had the stuff, and then just going to sleep, which is exactly what I want. I think its hash, it was a block that I light in and crumbled.
