Beautiful Moments
The best night of my life was spent lying in the bottom of a boat, floating down a river low enough to be under the thin layer of mist gathering at about 3am such that it scudded between me and the stars.
Make us feel all warm and fluffy. Tell us about the most beautiful moments in your life so far.

Two of them...
...both on an expedition in Zambia
3:00 at night. We had a 9 hour bus journey ahead, and our lift to the bus station had slept in. We were bundled into the back of a pickup truck with all our gear. It was freezing cold. We lay on our backs and looked up at the most beautiful night sky I've ever seen.
We trekked for two days and climbed the second highest peak in Zambia - the 'Mountain of the Devil'. At the peak we can see nothing for miles but flat scrubland and the mountains on the border of the Congo. No towns or people for at least 200 miles. The air is still apart from a slight breeze and the faint sound of a bird. The sun is just starting to go down and the bottoms of the clouds are glowing orange.
Good times
Edit: Hearing a lot of love for Africa in the posts. Keep it up.
