WildernessA little over a year ago I was in the Yosemite National Park in California. It was a completely cloudless night with a high, bright full moon. The bottom of the valley was in utter darkness, while the tops of the cliff walls were starkly lit in silver and black.
As I stood amongst the great trees a coyote barked and howled near by. There was no sign or sound of humans - just me, the moon and the coyote.
