Cardiff in pastry
Clark's pies - bloody yummy. Better than Peter's wallpaper-pastry efforts, anyway.
ninja edit - Higgidy pies are nice though

No but I remember them getting the contract to supply to the local comprehensive schools when I was a kid.
Just after the court case where they were fined for (IIRC) 17 serious food hygine law breaches at their production plant.
:/
Hmmm, no mention of it in Wiki, and the entry for them looks suspiciously like it was written by their publicist...

Fresh from the oven ... Mmmmmm
I have fond memories of them. Back in the 80's after a hard night at the local Rock club (the original Bogeiz before it was demolished) we would walk home at 3am. Our route would take us down Cowbridge road, past the Clarks pie shop and bakery, where if you knocked on the door, you could purchase a piping hot fresh from the oven Clarks pie in a brown paper bag for pennies from the night staff.
I believe the saintly Terry Wogan has a soft spot for them too, refering to them as "Atomic Turtles" due to their shape and the ferocious temperature the filling can get up to.
