I really want to try surstromming, and hakarl.
I keep missing the season for lutefisk, but am determined to eat some.
Only tried gravlaks so far in my quest for scandinavian fish strangeness.

one day..
I'm going to man up and try some of the Swedish fermented fish, however, my only known source has fled to the Netherlands, because she "feels weirdly at home". My mate warned me that other Swedish types were "a bit odd". She cited the fermented fish thing as evidence. I have to be honest, any foodstuff that you have to open in a bucket of water in the garden is strange...
