Lancashire cheese is shit 78% of the time
which makes it almost as unreliable as cheddar (94% shit) but good lancashire is easily the best cheese-on-toast cheese.
I had a friend at university who could make cheese on toast with no toast. The man was a cheese god.

Manyyears ago
there were lots of creameries in Lancashire making awesomely delicious Lancashire cheese. Now there's only one that I know of and it's nothing like as good as some of those cheeses I remember from my childhood.

This is one of the tragedies of the modern age.
I've had to become a race traitor and take Wensleydale when proper Lancashire hasn't been available.
Sad times.
