Blood
Like a scene from The Exorcist, I once spewed a stomach-full of blood all over a charming nurse as I came round after a major dental operation. Tell us your tales of red, red horror.

Greencloud reminds me...
Almost ten years ago (Christ, I feel old...) I happened to spend a night at a Masai settlement. Apparently pretty much their whole diet consists of a mixture of milk and cow blood.
It curdles.
It looks like baby poo.
I refrained from trying it and stuck to my honky-food.

I've had human breast milk
My brothers missus. Not from the source but from a glass. It was creamy and a bit like condensed milk. Her blood, I will leave to him.

I think it were they who featured in th doco, but it was certainly a goat they bled. I can still hear the poor little fucker bleating in my mind - it's like silence of the lambs in my cranium just thinking of it.

You say "Tomato", I say "Tomato".
That doesn't work so well in print, does it?

I recently read a book based on Gengis Khan
and Mongolian nomads do a similar thing with their horses. If they are away from camp & feel peckish, they will nick a small vein in the horses neck, drink a few mothfulls then slap a handful of wed mud on the wound. Yum.

Moo
They do generally tend to bleed cows (more to do with the social value of cows, rather than the quality of the blood in comparison to the goats).
And oh boy, it does curdle. Which would explain why they drink it like there's no tomorrow.
