This is a question Books

We love books. Tell us about your favourite books and authors, and why they are so good. And while you're at it - having dined out for years on the time I threw Dan Brown out of a train window - tell us who to avoid.

I don't like reading things that challenge my world view.
Instead, I prefer to read things that reaffirm my opinions and perceptions, and perhaps offer me the chance to vocalise my views in slightly different ways.

It's just so much easier that way.

You're absolutely right.
Only this morning I was chuckling at the story of one of the Fat Slags choking into unconsciousness on her own farts.

I love reading things that challenge my world view
I find it reinforces my views more than reading something that agrees with my views.

Also, it can get you all shouty when reading something that you feel is utter bollocks.

It's cathartic :)
