Books
We love books. Tell us about your favourite books and authors, and why they are so good. And while you're at it - having dined out for years on the time I threw Dan Brown out of a train window - tell us who to avoid.

i loved Richard Scarry books when I was a kid. Awesome illustrations, and characters like Lowly Worm, Huckle Cat and Rudolf von Flugel.

They lived in such an idyllic world, so simple but so colourful, loads of shit going on, and yeah, fluffy kittens and stuff.

Forever a favourite!
His books are classics; I recently found a massive print with all his characters on it that had been made when I was a kid back in the 70s and bought it for my friend's three-year-old daughter. Every night before she goes to sleep, she'll point to each character and tell her parents who everyone is and what they do. It's nice to see how it endures.

Brilliant!
I just bought some for my nephews. I'm determined that love of Richard Scarry should continue through the generations
