Bit of a silly thing to say really...
...I read a book that talked about something Id not heard of before, so I decided to learn more about it, which in turn lead to me wanting to read more science/math theory books...
If you'd never heard of the Golden Ratio, how would you know pop songs follow it..? Everyone has to find about something from a single source to start out with...

Yes, I recognise that
But saying that a certain book is good simply because it introduced you to a theory is slightly odd. I'm just saying that it's the theory you like, not the novel which used it.
EDIT: I found out about the Golden Ratio in high school. My opinion of said school did not improve.
