Junction 10 is Wolverhampton isn't it?
Can't imagine why anyone would choose that as their favourite junction.

Junction 40: Penrith
I used to travel from Leeds to Glasgow and back in the same day. I would take the route:
A1 - A66 - M6 - A74
On the way home I would always stop in Penrith town centre for my lunch.
