I had a girlfriend once, not overly large in the breast department but nice anyway.
Now I'll be the first to admit I'm quite fond of breasts, (not the first on here obviously!) and had spent a couple of minutes playing with her nipples. (This was an unashamed "play" for what I thought was my benefit only)

The response was one I've wanted to hear again and again,

Was it when you were teens?
I went out with a girl with really sensitive nipples that did exactly that. I wonder if it's a teen/age thing - a bit like I had with He Who Must Be Obeyed when I was in my teens - a grope could get me to spluff in the right circumstances, but now I'm 35 I need, y'know ... some action.

...I think you've probably also only gone out with ladies with nice ones. I usually have to settle for women 'down the lower end of the spectrum', with odd/saggy boobs, and a lot of them have been so insecure about them that any of that sort of foreplay leaves them tenser than they were before.

One girl I know doesn't like men going down on her for a similar reason.

Waiting for my wife in a London pub, I got talking with a group of about eight women 'of a certain age' who'd come to town for a drink and a show. As it will the conversation turned to sensitivity of nipples. It turned out that about half of them were turned on by nipple action, the rest were left cold (including a mother and daughter, who'd never discussed it before).
