I need bra recommendations.
Thanks to the underwire in a previous bra coming loose and cutting into me, I am now in pain when wearing a bra.
Does anyone know of a style where the wire at the front doesn't come up too high, because the bra I'm wearing at the moment is resting on the scar and it hurts :(

Might be best to deal with the scar first
let it heal totally, and use bio-oil (you can buy in pharmacies) on it. It'll reduce the obvious scarring. After that wear non-underwired underwear for a bit. If it's strong, then it'll provide some support without cutting into you. Once you go back to a proper bra maybe think about going a backsize up. Less support, but also less cutting into you for a while. Or a sports bra might do the trick- both the top and bottom tend to be higher/lower than a normal bra and will put weight in different places

Thank you!
I really should have let the scar heal properly first. *slaps self on wrist for being a fool*

Sports bras are less ugly than you might think, with the added bonus of being supportive and avoiding the boob-shelf you can get from balcony bras (you can see both of em! from under a tshirt!). Anything with elastic rather than wires will probably help. Try M&S - they'll even fit it for you if you don't mind some old lady seeing your tits...

The last person to see them was my rather charming male gp. Little old ladies don't scare me!

My Missus works for La Senza and they do really good bra-fits - get yerself along. Might even be my missus feeling you up if it's done up North! (can't give exact location for fear of... well.. getting caught by internets)
She was also a V.M. with them and the boss at the time was that greek twnut from 'Dragons Den' - he swears like a trooper and loves staff. Cause they're all fit lasses. And Young. ppwwwwhhoooaaar.

I don't work for La Senza
but these days I wouldn't buy a bra from anywhere else. They're shapely, well made and comfortable, and very supportive for the buxom. They have some cute sets with moulded cups that are quite low cut.
I wouldn't trust then on a fitting, though - I got told I was a chest and cup size smaller than I am, got a few bras in this wrong size tossed at me and then the "assistant" disappeared so I couldn't get refitted. I got measured elsewhere for a Playtex granny bra and know my correct size now.
And to save yourself pain in future, always handwash your underwire bras. That's usually the cause of underwire escape and can also seriously bugger up your washing machine.

Bravissimo
Stocks a range called 'Freya'. They're great, the wires don't dig in anywhere.
