You could have probably gone to your parent's friends.As "good Christians" they would possibly have helped you.
Does anyone know who it is making money from the movement, the cult leader as it were? My mother is one and as far as I can gather they're more like masons than scientologists, but if anyone knows any different please let me know so I can dig up as much shit on them as I can.

Charles Taze RussellHe started the whole movement, look up some of his indiscretions and you'll have all the ammunition you need. When confronted with this, Witnesses will say such things never happened as the Watchtower Society rewrites its' history whenever it suits them to. Look at the number of times that they've prophecied the return of Christ [1918 - didn't happen, 1975, didn't happen, etc..]
