it'd be nice to have an option to just show the top thread instead of loading the entire page again
and it would even save you a bit of bandwidth, unless you're planning a rewrite with funky AJAX shizzle

click on the post iconand it will just show that top post.
Once it gets quiet for a couple mins it probably means there's been a new post so go to the main page and repeat.
