It's not hard to work out whodunnitBut it's not so easy to work out what the servants are up to and where they fit in.
Personally, I always liked it more than the other longer stories. You see the whole plot as it unfolds rather than in flashbacks and stories.

i agreeand frankly,its the only story to contain a degree of menace.in the other novels and short stories, holmes is some kind of superhero.in HOTB he's more human and fallible.And I like that.
