Didn't take you long, did it.
My first rarely used mobile phone was with Vodaphone whose coverage in Australia outside cities and major regional towns is non-existent. Faced with the fact of a long (1600 kilometre) road trip with a relative whose health isn't the best I decided to get a phone with Telstra whose coverage is far better. This was the end of November 2007.
Now can I have the same number, please? Yes, that will not be a problem. How long will it take? Three working days. OK, I don't see why it should take that long but if you say so.
It finally began to work two months later.
