I would say that if you are getting calls from debt colleciton agenciesthere is a reasonably good chance that they've made a mistake and are in fact just calling anyone with a name that sounds similar to yours.

In fact I'm being chased for a debt for a tennent that lived in a flat before I did with a completely different name.
Now I've moved house, they are chasing him (me) here at my new place.
