Don't ask girls out when drunk.
I asked a girl out 3 times when we were both drunk. i remeber the night before (never forgoten a night out the day after) however she doesn't.

Finally asked her out when sober and she said yes, been going out just over a month now and it's great :)

However the date we actually started going out on is up for debate. I let her choose seeing as it's girls that seem to like that anniversary stuff. Just gotta hope were still going out when it comes round, otherwise her annoyance at me not knowing when it was (even though I do, she just can't remember so has a different date in her head) will have been a waste of time.

Corollary: Don't drink a bottle of Plymouth naval strength gin around girls you're not already sleeping with.

I assume that's cos it make you want to sleep with them
which may or may not lead to a rape situation? Am I right?

I couldn't possibly comment…
… mainly as I don't remember.

I remember once, when I was a lowly 3rd year student I woke up at about 4pm, wandered downstairs and a housemate (who's now a doctor at the Bristol Royal Infirmary) suggested we have a tipple as he'd just finished his exams for the year.

3 bottles of the normal plymouth between the two of us and he went to his girlfriend's house, threw up on her floor, then passed out. I went on a date.

All I remember is "Have you been drinking already?" as I sunk a pint of ale.

I can also recommend not drinking a 6 pack of lager
4 tequila slammers, vomitting, then guzzling a third of a bottle of bacardi. This will lead to you waking up with a (female) housemate with no memory of how you got there or what, if anything, occurred between you.

worked out ok for me. I went out with her for 2 and a half years and it was good, but you might not be so lucky

Oh god, this is a bad QOTW…
I had a similar experience, except that it turns out that I drunkenly wandered out and fell asleep on the sofa some time in the night. Nobody thought to tell me what had happened for over a year, after I asked the girl out.
