This is a question Cheap Tat

OneEyedMonster remindes us about the crap you can buy in pound shops: "Batteries that lasted about an hour and then died. A screwdriver with a loose handle so I couldn't turn the damn screw, and a tape measure which wasn't at all accurate."

Similarly, my neighbour bought a lawnmower from Argos that was so cheap the wheels didn't go round, it sort of skidded over the grass whilst gently back-combing it.

What's the cheapest, most useless crap you've bought?

MD 20/20
It's super cheap & SUPER skanky!!

I once bought some as a desparate teen but NEVER, NEVER, EVER again!

Yay!
Does anyone actually drink that stuff post legal age? My experiences (notably grape, orange and a "red" one) were all between 14 and 16...

Tried that stuff once, age 15
burned on the way down, burned even worse on the way back up!

Legendary
Many a girl of my age group 'lost their flower' while under the influence of that stuff.

I'm having trouble deciding whether it was better or worse than those brands of white cider that apparently have never been in contact with apples.

I'd like to know
why special brew is so expensive. Ifit really is the choice of tramps and dole scroungers, why is it over a quid a can.

Note - I am not either of the above, but as a fan of fancy dress, a can of it sets off the pikey costume off a treat!

Boxing Day 2008
I had a bottle of 20:20 on boxing day. It was strawberry flavour I think.

I am 29 years old :)

I bought a bottle
last year for "old times sake" - I had a sip and gave it my mate who will drink anything (highlight lately was an open can of Special Brew he found behind his microwave; been there a few weeks. Classy guy)

Ha HA!!
I've got great memories of 20/20! Going to a fetish party at my sisters when she was at uni, and being so nervous at wearing an outrageous pvc dress I downed a whole bottle in about 20 minutes, fell down the stairs, threw up in the doctors garden next door and passed out on a mattress in sis's bedroom only to come to about 2 hours later with a start when I hear her yelling at the freak with crutches who's trying to get into bed with me....

we also used to have competitions in the pub to see who could drink the mini bottles the fastest using a straw - £1.50 a bottle - god I feel old now!!

Happy days....I think....I can't remember a lot of them!!
