What nonsense did you believe in as a kid?
Ever thought that you could get flushed down the loo? That girls wee out their bottoms? Or that bumming means two men rubbing their bums together? Tell us about your childhood misconceptions. Thanks to Joefish for the suggestion.

You got it worse than me.
Nearly clawed my arms to shreds, a few times (saw a video about a girl who used a pair of scissors to strip her arms of skin - admired her technique!), but my worst memory is of it repeatedly flaring up inside my ear - couldn't scratch it even if I wanted to!

I did the scissors thing, until my mum noticed
But ouch about the ears- that sounds awful. :(

Hands, elbows, knees and arms (knees and arms)
I don't think I ever used scissors, but I did stick safety pins through the flakey bits and pretend to be impervious to pain.

Eyes and ears and mouth and nose,
head, shoulders, knees and toes (knees and toes).

Hurrah!
Next verse!
*points at head*, shoulders, knees and toes (knees and toes)
*points at head*, shoulders, knees and toes (knees and toes)
And eyes and ears and mouth and nose
*points at head*, shoulders, knees and toes (knees and toes)
What japes.

I had a sneaking suspicion that scissors would probably make things worse
(so you must have really had it bad - my sympathy to you), but I'd still happily jab the pointy ends of pencils in my ears - something I enjoyed so much, that I'd do it even when they weren't itchy (at least until a teacher spotted me and alerted my mum).

I guess it's the pain>itching realisation moment that does it.
I was going to ask you how many cotton buds you got through. :P
