Someone at school told me Jamie Lee Curtis was born a man
There not being much of an internet at the time to check facts such as these, I believed it right up until my late teens. Kind of ruined True Lies for me, and don't get me started on 'that scene' in Trading Places.

we learnt that at uni..
if my lecturer was not bullsh*tting then Jamie Lee Curtis was conceived as male - but is not able to respond to testosterone so developed as a woman. The hints are she has narrow hips, can develop muscle tone easily and is infertile (maybe, not sure on that point). However, this may have just been a ruse to show lots of slides of Jamie Lee Curtis in lycra in our lectures...
