This is a question What nonsense did you believe in as a kid?

Ever thought that you could get flushed down the loo? That girls wee out their bottoms? Or that bumming means two men rubbing their bums together? Tell us about your childhood misconceptions. Thanks to Joefish for the suggestion.

Che Grimsdale's post below reminded me
I had the same problem when I was a child with the Llama joke. It sort of goes....

Beware, the Llama spits.

He was, and it did.

Took me until my late 30s to 'get it'.

(when that happens though, you can almost feel the lightbulb going off over your head!)
*edit. to keep in with the QOTW, I thought men and women, you know, 'did it' standing up. Well, wasn't too far wrong...

'Be where'

I still don't get it.
Could it be that it's not actually funny?

It reads as "Be where the llama spits" - as an instruction
IE: Oi! You! Be where the llama spits!

He was (he went to where the llama spits), and it did (the llama did spit, and he was where it spat).

And thus the joke is now very, very dead.

That is dreadfully unfunny.
and I say that as a dreadfully unfunny fucker myself.

I concur.
It's even less funny than Russel Howard.

I'm not sure whether I haven't got it or it just isn't that funny.
