This is a question I don't understand the attraction

Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

I nearly forgot
R'n'B music should be re-titled because if it arguably has rhythm it definitely has no blues. People tend to forget what the letters R and B stand for, and rhythm and blues was a completely different genre of music back in t'day and has completely lost its roots.

The Joy of Acronyms
Nowadays, it's Rhythm 'n' Bass. Some clueless dickhead couldn't be bothered going to the trouble of finding a different name. Rhythm and blues should sue the cunts ...

Really?
Rhythm'n'Bass? It ticks both boxes there I admit, but when the hell was this changeover announced?

oh,
well its not exactly 'rhythm n blues', and you claim its not 'rhythm and bass', what the bloody hell is it then?

It's R&B.
Not the same thing as Rhythm and Blues. Whole other genre.

but
R&B = rhythm and blues. Using it to denote a new musical style is a bit like me choosing the phrase 'Heavy Metal' as a name for my new Kettle Drum based free form reinterpretation of Skiffle...or something.

Kettle drum-based interpretation of Skiffle?
I'd like to hear that.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 10:16, closed)
No...
...it doesn't.

R'n'B
Used to mean 'Pub-rock', your uncles band, Mustang Sally 3 times, getting slower as they drink more, grey mullets and 50 year old milf groupies... Get the picture?
