My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

*Click* for imprecise language in general......like, you know, when someone says stuff, and you think, well, you know.
For heaven's sake - if you've got something to tell me, bloody tell me. I don't want to use some bizarre mentalism routine to try to divine your intent from your body language.
Raising your eyebrows when saying "you know" does not magically impart the identity of "that bloke, you know" either.
