My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

oh how fun...being of the 'Grove variety, anything that comes from Redditch is the epitomy of common, which like you say is a shame, because it could be such a nice area...
Alas, they rehoused all of the areas Waynes, and because the 'Grove is such an afluent area they decide that all of the public transport expenditure/any expenditure/facility should not be in the grove, but the ditch... frightful... we pay for your busses don't you know... and round abouts... I have never understood them!
