My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

People who say "illuminous"To describe something brightly-coloured. Usually their high-viz Kappa trackie jacket. Even if it is a word, you only ever hear chavs say it, so therefore it is common by default.
