Common
Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."
My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.
What stuff do you think is common?

I wrote to my MP once
as I was so sick of watching the bloke who lives near me getting up, going to get his giro then spending the rest of the day in the pub and bookies. That's my tax money you useless oaf!
I suggested in this letter that benefit should be paid in the form of vouchers that could only be redeemed for food, non alcoholic drinks, medicine, children's clothing and toys.
No fags, no booze, no gambling etc etc. See how quickly the unemployment rate drops.
My MP is Jaqui "lock you up for 42 days if you look funny" Smith :o(
