My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

I Love my accentI don't regard myself as Geordie as I grew up in the Scottish/English border, lived in Norfolk and then moved to Germany for a bit. But I've lived in Geordieland for the best part of 20 years, and have picked up the accent a wee bit.
Regional accents ftw.
