This is a question Common

Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."

My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What stuff do you think is common?

true though
febreeze works wonders.

We play broomball... its like ice hockey -- on ice, but no skates, with broom-like sticks. Anyway, we were given pull-over jersies and the one lady on our team happened to get the nastiest one of the bunch.

You could smell it a good five feet away.

Doused it with febreeze, which i conveniently had in the car, and poof... problem solved.

Oh Broomball, gotta love it.

What's its appeal over hockey/ringette? I've never had a chance to meet someone who's played it before.

I hope the answer isn't the obvious, "'Cause you don't have to learn how to skate."
