My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

I wish!No, they're not even lazy enough to use the glottal stop, it's now all one word; goinpub.
Variations on the word are goincinema, goinshop and goinyours.
