This is a question Common

Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."

My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What stuff do you think is common?

my perceptions have obviously shifted ...
... since being in China for a while, because while that IS disgusting and should in no way be allowed, here it's just *worse* ... the kids have trousers with a slit manufactured into them, to facilitate easy pissing (and one would assume laying cables) just about wherever and whenever the child needs to go. sometimes it's as gross as the kid squatting down and pissing on the pavement, right NEXT TO grass. make the kid go on the grass, idiots! it's not great but it's better, right? tossers.

oh and on the bus the other day some mother had her kid on her lap and he was asleep and his cock was hanging out of the slit. she clearly knew and yet she did nothing to put it away ... fucking weird.
