This is a question Common

Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."

My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What stuff do you think is common?

Probably already mentioned
when people take the kitchen table chairs out into the street, sit there and drink all afternoon and into the night. Yes, the houses may have small, south-facing front gardens, but do they need to spill out onto the street?

Probably yes...
because they have smelly houses...

How bizarre
The family I was thinking of when I was writing this did indeed have an extremely rank house.

Spoooky...
I think that ANYONE that feels the need to move their dining room, er, I mean kitchen furniture into the street to drink beer and smoke tabs HAS to have a smelly house. I also bet that they leave their homebrand ketchup and condiments on the kitchen table - permanently - rather than put them back in the cupboard where they belong....
