Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."
My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.
What stuff do you think is common?

If I wanted to listen to R. Kelly and the ringtone brigade, I would come round your house.
I would love to see if they responded civilly to me pulling up on their street blasting something they hadn't planned on listening to that day.

"If they hold their 'cruise' on your street, fair enough. That would be a real p!sser. Other than that, are they really harming you?"

I were to walk through your house every now and then and drown out whatever you are watching/listening to/conversing with by blasting massive noises that wouldn't bother you?
It is a problem and they are anti-social regardless of whether they are holding "a cruise" or not.
