This is a question Complaining

I like writing letters of complaint to companies containing the words "premier league muppetry", if only to give the poor office workers a good laugh on an otherwise dull day. Have you ever complained? Did it work?

Pearoast
About Abbey National (now Santander) and nearly eight months of continuous, pig-ignorant, addled fuckery.

Apologies for length, but it's a good 'un (oo-er missus)

I'd still be very dubious about all the f'ing and stuff in the letters. It immediately gives them the moral high ground - most grunts who would be reading those letters are pretty much told they don't have to put up with it.

Not saying I don't agree with the sentiment, but the lack of response from them has to make you suspect they gleefully binned the letters.

From time to time I work in a judgemental capacity in commercial disputes. The merest hint of uncivil behaviour is extrememly dimly viewed. Sarcasm and wit is OK, even welcome, but fuck this and twat that will at best lose you any benefit of doubt that could be given.

I hear you,
but the mail with the swearing was seven weeks after the retention of the card - something that shouldn't have happened anyway, and which should have been rectified within a week at the most.

Actually, the bit I'm least proud of is when I had to go in to the bank to finally close the account (as Abbey were still giving me the run-around). While I didn't use any chaucerian terms, I was extremely hacked off with the six month's hassle I'd had and I verbally harangued the living fuck out of the counter staff.

In my defence, it was their assertion that I had retained a cashcard and I'd need to return this before they'd be able to close my account that caused the red mist to come down.

Honestly,
I don't blame you. There's a certain point at which you know it doesn't make any difference, isn't there?

My sister and parents are with Santander.
And from what I've seen happen to them, I will never ever be with them. I'm with Clydesdale who, aside from pissing my parents off a good decade back, although not enough to make them decide against getting another mortgage from them, have been wonderful.
