I like writing letters of complaint to companies containing the words "premier league muppetry", if only to give the poor office workers a good laugh on an otherwise dull day. Have you ever complained? Did it work?

Set a reasonable deadline (say 10 days) and tell them you will sue after that date. Photograph the letter and send it via recorded delivery. If they do not respond then file in the small claims court (you can even do this online). Companies only drag their heels because you let them get away with it!

I am in a different jurisdiction and the small claims court ain't going to work for me. It will cost me as much to chase it this way (time spent etc) as it will to purchase the ingredients for a small but effective incendiary device and attach it to a discreet yet powerful pigeon for delivery.
Thanks though. Along with FlyBe, BMIBaby have some form for this sort of thing and haven't even responded to the EU's threats.

say it anyway - it's the closest you can get to a magic bullet that'll get corporate people moving. They'll probably fail to notice that it's not a valid promise.
