Sometimes
When something is mildly funny, but not laugh out funny I just say "lol" while keeping my face deadpan. It's rare that anyone understands the complexity of my statement.

I force myself not to do that.
I work in IT, use only Linux at home, only watch TV through the internet and (as I am doing now) browse the web through my phone. I've been called a geek by my colleagues in IT and have a virtual wife and kids -- I refuse to say "lol" lest I be branded even more of a geek.
