Aww
Once came across a cat on the road that been hit by a car, we thought it was dead until we heard it crying, and even though its innards were hanging out, it purred when we stopped to check on it.
The next vehicle to pass by was an ambulance and they kindly helped scoop up the mangled kitty and took it to the police station where it was deposited into the dog pen, we followed on and hung around until a vet arrived and put it to sleep.
2 days later I saw a lost cat notice and had the sad task to inform the owner what had become of her kitty.
Not at all creepy, no boiler suited axeman, but just plain sad
