A similarly indescribable oneWhen I was very young I used to have a recurring dream that always terrified me. The odd thing was, it was a dream about a texture.
Imagine a large cloth, perhaps some kind of velvet or velour. It's bunched up in ridges and lumps. Then it's suddenly pulled tight, so it goes flat.
And that's it. For some reason, it was arse-clenchingly horrifying. I'd wake up screaming. Surprisingly, I once overheard someone describing exactly the same dream to their friends...

SimilarI used to dream of cogs and wheels and the fact that they would get sharper and sharper.
