Well clearly he's a fraud the question is whether he realises that or not. I got the impression that he believed what he did was real, and he obviously felt like he was helping people. It's not like he's made a load of money out of it. He's just deluded I suppose. And yes he must have realised the truth of this when he couldn't 'talk' to his daughter, or couldn't even bring himself to try.
