We had a system on the school computers called Espresso.
A chappy came to teach us how to use it and called it 'expresso' throughout.
I wanted to hit him.

i like the odd double espresso
but i nearly died of shame when i took my mum to cafe nero. she ordered a cup of basic, bog-standard coffee and i ordered my double espresso. when they were brought over to us, mother dear almost hit the roof. "wtf is this?? it's practically empty! we won't be coming here again, you pack of money-grabbing, tight-fisted bastards!"
how we didn't get thrown out, i'll never know.

Expresso
Yes, it annoys me when people call them expressos out of pure ignorance; but at the same time, I can't help but think Expresso is a rather apt discription of what they do to my rather caffine sensitive self (only drink esspresso when I REALLY need a kick up the arse)...
